Hindu astrology has a unique system of prediction that is based on the position of the moon in a given Nakshatra. There are 27 Nakshatras in total. Each of them covers 13 Degrees and 20 minutes of the zodiac. Each Nakshatra is the head of a particular group of stars. A forecast based on the transit/correlation/ inter-relation of planets in relation to the Nakshatras are more accurate than the results predicted on the basis of any other system.
Only in Vedic astrology, we can find the description of Nakshatra, which gives much more accurate results.
The zodiac is divided into 27 Nakshatra zones. Therefore, while navigating across the zodiac, the moon has to pass through one of the Nakshatras. When you were born, the Nakshatra in which the moon was situated at that time is called your "Janma Nakshatra" (birth star). Accurate predictions can be made after ascertaining your Janma Nakshatra. You can exploit opportunities through proper interpretation of the Nakshatra. Similarly, you can ward off the negatives if you take corrective measures. Nakshatras are also associated with colors, symbols, deities, gemstones etc.. The different Nakshatras are given below (have a record of them for future reference).

3. Krittika (26°40' Aries to 10° Tauras)
4. Rohini (10° Tauras to 23°20' Tauras)
5. Mrigahira (23°20' Tauras to 6°40' Gemini)
6. Arudra (6°40' to 20°00' Gemini)
7. Punarvasu (20° Gemini to 3°20' Cancer)
8. Pushya (3°20' to 16°40 Cancer)
9. Aslesha (16°40' to 30°00' Cancer)
10. Magha (0°00' to 13°20' Leo)
11. Purva Phalguni (13°20' to 26°40 Leo)
12. Uttara Phalgunu (26°40' Leo to 10°00' Virgo)
13. Hasta (10°00' to 23°20' Virgo)
14. Chitra (23°20' Virgo to 6°40' Libra)
15. Swati (6°40' to 20°20 Libra)
16. Vishakha (20°00' Libra to 3°20' Scorpio)
17. Anuradha (3°20' to 16°40' Scorpio)
18. Jyeshtha (16°40' to 30°00' Scorpio)
19. Mula (0°00' to 13°20' Sagittarius)
20. Purvashada (13°20' to 26°40' Sagittarius)
